ACCIONA Energía works in all renewable energies and has outstanding assets in seven of them. This set of activities places ACCIONA Energía as the company with presence in a larger number of renewable technologies in the world.
Based on Visual Studio and the Microsoft .NET technologies, they have developed a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, which gives them real time control over 42,000 variables and 48,000 alarms on one of the largest solar power plants in the world, considering the power connected to the network.
And they have achieved significant development and management reduction costs, with the system reuse possibility for future solar and other technologies facilities.
Plain Concepts has been involved in internal staff development support, contributing decisively to the solution architecture definition, training, graphic design and mentoring in the early stages of development. "Their help has been essential and together we have established a solid foundation on which to scale the system in a controlled manner," says the manager of ACCIONA Energía, adding: "Right now, our internal developers are able to assume future features but we are counting on Plain Concepts to accelerate the development, for training and mentoring".
